The Shaagird Foundation is proud to announce the release of its Annual Report for the fiscal year 2024–2025. This year’s report shows the Foundation’s commitment to promoting education and holistic well-being for children affected by communal violence, mob lynching, demolition, riots, poverty, and other hate crimes, and those who are orphans.

The Annual Report outlines the Foundation’s mission and vision, showcasing key achievements and the expansion of educational programs across various regions. It emphasizes the critical role that education plays in empowering children from marginalized communities and in the lives of the children affected by demolition, communal violence, riots, and other hate crimes, and children affected by poverty.

Over the past year, the Foundation witnessed remarkable growth in its educational initiatives, strengthening its presence through several key institutions. These include Sunrise Public School, Miftahul Quran Learning Center, Fatima al Fihri, Smart India School, and Smile School. Together, these centers have played a crucial role in reaching underserved children with quality education and support services.

At Sunrise Public School, around  500 students received structured academic instruction and mentorship. Miftahul Quran Learning Center not only provided education but also served as a shelter for 80 children, offering them safety, stability, and a nurturing environment. Fatima al Fihri welcomed 30 new students in 2024, ensuring foundational learning for one of the most vulnerable members of the community. Meanwhile, Smart India School continued to serve 20 bright learners, nurturing their academic and personal growth.

Recognizing that education goes beyond textbooks, the Foundation actively promoted holistic development through educational trips, creative events, capacity-building workshops, and cultural celebrations. These activities enriched the learning experience, instilled confidence, and fostered a strong sense of identity and belonging among the children.

In addition to educational outreach, the Shaagird Foundation made strides in healthcare and human rights advocacy. Free health awareness sessions and medical camps were organized in slums and underserved areas, addressing basic health needs and preventive care.

In the arena of human rights advocacy, the Foundation connected with key people in Malaysia, Kuwait, Bangalore, and Chennai to raise awareness on human rights issues affecting children and minority groups.

The report also features powerful stories of resilience, tracing the journeys of children who, despite experiencing the trauma of violence, loss, and displacement, are now thriving through access to education and emotional support.

As the Foundation looks ahead, it remains dedicated to scaling its programs, deepening its community partnerships, and building a future where no child is left behind. To read the full report click here.
