The Shaagird Foundation is pleased to announce the release of its Annual Report for the fiscal year 2023–2024. The report underscores the Foundation’s steadfast commitment to advancing education and holistic development for children impacted by communal violence, mob lynching, demolitions, riots, poverty, hate crimes, and for orphaned children.

Mission and Vision: Education as a Path to Empowerment
This year’s report highlights the organisation’s mission and vision, showcasing significant achievements and the expansion of its educational initiatives across multiple regions. It emphasizes the transformative power of education in the lives of marginalized children, particularly those affected by conflict, displacement, and systemic neglect.
Educational Expansion: Strengthening Institutional Impact
Throughout the year, the Foundation experienced substantial growth in its programs, enhancing its reach through several key educational institutions like Sunrise Public School, Miftahul Quran Learning Center, Fatima al Fihri, Smart India School, and Smile School. Each has served as a cornerstone in delivering quality education and comprehensive support to underserved children.

Beyond Academics: Supporting Holistic Development
Recognising that true education involves emotional, social, and cognitive growth, the Foundation organised various enrichment activities. These included educational trips, cultural events, life-skills training, and interactive workshops, helping students develop confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of identity.

Advocacy Efforts: Building Awareness Beyond Borders
On the human rights front, the Foundation expanded its advocacy initiatives by connecting with stakeholders in Geneva, Switzerland; Bangalore; Aurangabad; and Hyderabad. These collaborations aimed to raise awareness of the challenges faced by minority children and those exposed to violence and discrimination.

Stories of Change: Resilience Amid Adversity
The Annual Report also shares powerful, real-life stories of resilience, featuring children who, despite trauma and hardship, are now thriving through education, support, and care provided by the Foundation.
As the Foundation prepares for the future, it remains committed to scaling its impact, deepening community engagement, and creating opportunities for every child regardless of background—to learn, grow, and lead a dignified life.
